My Readultery Life Review

I hate to admit this, and it pains me to do so, but this is my first DNF (did not finish) for the year. While I try to stick it out and read to the end of the book, I just couldn’t with this novel.

I found it difficult to connect to the character and found the back and forth between the characters background story very difficult to follow. I could see where the story was going to go with the main characters and for some strange reason the age gap between the characters was an issue for me. An age gap off 30 years was too much for me.

I hate providing a negative review, because I can only imagine how much work the author does to make this story relatable, but I am struggling to find an element of the story that I enjoyed. Having said all off the above, I have heard about how fantastic Red Phoenix is with her story telling, so I am willing to read another story from her. Any suggestions?
