My Readultery Life Review

When you think of the amazing writing duo, Alexa Riley (AR), you know your going to get a story that offers you the sassiness, the heat and very little angst. Well, Claimed fits the bill perfectly. Even better this story is longer than their short stories, so the sassiness, heat is still there but we are given elements of mystery and suspense in this story. Of course, we still get plenty of insta-love but we have the nice build-up in the characters friendship before the characters showed their true feelings.
Jordon Chen is Osbourne Corporations go to IT security expert. He is the man behind keeping everyone safe within Osbourne Corporation. He comes across as a shy guy who doesn’t really socialise with his colleagues. He’s never been in a serious relationship or found someone that is worth the effect, that is until he meets Jay Rose.

Jay Rose is smart, beautiful and independent. She is a workaholic and the boss’s right hand. Jay comes across as someone who doesn’t back down from a confrontation, she certainly isn’t shy when it comes to work.
Due to Jordon’s shyness and not being able to form a sentence in from of Jay, he has been placed in the ‘friendzone.’ Not wanting to scare Jay off with his sweet obsession he accepts the ‘friendzone’ until he is reading to make his move.

Jay is surprised and flattered, she honestly thought that Jordon only wanted friendship and learning that he has feelings for her comes as welcoming surprise.
This is when the fun starts, Jordon certainly comes out of his self when he makes his move, the confidence he expels when he sets his mind on making Jay his was extremely sexy. Suddenly Jay becomes the shy character and lets Jordon take control.

Their relationship was adorable to read, it has the slow burn romance effect, teasing us along the way. Their relationship has zero luck when it came to dates, but I found that very funny and truthful due to how busy both their work positions make them. I had a few laugh out moments with their attempts at their dates.

While this is the third book in the series, you don’t have to read the stories before to understand the characters. It is a complete standalone.

This story offers the readers that insta-love, while staying true to AR writing style. So, if you have ever read AR’s short story and are left wanting more, then look no further, this series highlights the amazing talent that AR has. Make sure you grab a copy, you won’t be disappointed.
