My Readultery Life Review
Like A Boss is a great collaboration of writing from Sylvia Pierce and Lili Valente. I had the pleasure of reading some of Lila Valente’s work, but I was a newbie to Sylvia Pierce, so I was a little unsure how the flow of the story would work. But each other complimented the other.
Like A Boss is a fun and sexy read that left me light hearted and empowered as a woman.
Ellie Seyfried is an investigative journalist, one who is about to go undercover in her brother’s Investment Firm which he runs with his best friend Jack Holt. Both men believe that they run an equal opportunity firm, but when Ellie starts her investigation she comes across things that are a cause for concern. Issues that could very well bring the company down to its knees.
While undercover, Ellie comes across some complications that she didn’t expect to happen. Falling for her brother’s best friend was one of those, unexpected but a welcomed complication. Their chemistry was intense and the banter between the characters supplied us with plenty of giddy moments.
I fell in love with these characters from page one. Jack has achieved great things in his life, while Ellie is hoping that this story will help to establish her career. How can this couple work? What would Ellie’s brother say when he finds out about their relationship? What will Ellie uncover?
Guess you’ll have to read the story to find out and make your own judgement.
I will say that I found this story very pertinent and reflected the changes that are happing in todays society. Equal rights in the workplace!!
