My Readultery Life Review


Its been a while since I have read past my bedtime. (ok, that’s a lie, I read past well into the night!!) Stella Rhys Hothead certainly kept me entertained. I just could not stop until I had read the book in one sitting.
There was nothing about Hothead that I would change or disliked. I absolutely loved Drew and Evie, they had some much sexual chemistry I thought my kindle was going to ignite.
Hothead is an enemy to lover’s romance with enough sexual tension you could bottle it up to sell. Drew and Evie when together are pure perfection. Stella Rhys has written such an enticing story that allows the reader to feel the same emotions that the characters are experience. When Evie’s heart starts beating faster, you can feel your pulse racing along side her or when Drew whispers sweet nothings into Evie’s ear you can feel the cool breeze along your neck. On top of their hot, insane chemistry, Drew and Evie bring out the best in each other.
Drew Maddox is baseballs number one bad boy with a bad reputation for his antics, on and off the field. To make sure that he is traded Drew needs a quick fix to show the world that he is a settled and changed man.
Enter Evie Larsen.
Evie Larsen has just been dumped by the person who she thought would be her forever. As she’s drunk dialling her ex-fiancé she bumps into Drew, who happens to overhear the conversation and its safe to say that the sparks fly from the get go and everyone around can see, even the press.
Being on the front pages off the press is not what anyone wants, but Drew and his agent intend to use this to their advantage.  Iain, Drew’s agent, advises Drew to get Evie on board and pretend to be in a relationship with Drew. Not wanting to jeopardize the arrangement, Iain makes Drew promise not to sleep with Evie.
And the rest, they say is history, because we all know what is going to happen. Their fake relationship gets real, very fast. Both characters want each other and as the relationship is played out in front of the public, the reasons holding them back seem less convincing.
Drew is you typical sexy, talented alpha, who made this reader fall for him and landing him on the already jam-packed book boyfriend shelf.
Evie is Drew’s perfect match, she can give just as good as she gets. Her sassy and what you see if what you get attitude made me like this character from the get go.
The antics that this couple, real and pretend, are sure to melt most panties. So be sure to read in a private place. They are hilarious together and the chemistry is off the charts.
This is the first novel that I have read by Stella Rhys, but if her books are anything like Hothead, then I know I will be in for a treat when I start reading her previous novels. Hothead is a well written story that is captivating, heart-warming, steamy and fun read. I recommend to anyone who loves a good romance story.
