Review: Hard by Donna Alam

A man walks into a coffee shop and gets offered a job in porn . . .
Sounds like the start of a joke, right?
Or every man’s fantasy. Until I remember I’m trying to be a good man.
A single father.
One who doesn’t do casual relationships,
Let alone get paid for sex.
But for those curves and that mouth?
Any man might change his mind.

~*~

It was an honest mistake  . . .
I’m new to the “adult entertainment” business.
So when I’m sent to interview for our next production,
I assume the hottie with the coffee is him.
Lord knows he’s hot enough to take a starring role.
Especially in my fantasies. And with that accent,
The aural he gives must be
ahh-mazing.
I thought a hard man might be fun for the night.
But a good man? He might be everything.

My Readultery Life Review
Hard is a funny and sweet read that offers plenty of heat and dirty talking. The back and forth banter between the main characters, Keir and Paisley, offer the readers plenty of laughable moments and plenty of swoon worthy moments as well.
Keir has swoon off relationships after a nasty separation with his ex. Now the sole parent to a very adorable and cheeky daughter, Keir knows he most devote his time and attention to his daughter. He just wasn’t expecting Paisley to enter his life in a way that leaves a mark, in a good way.
Paisley, filling in for her boss accidentally mistakes Kier as the man she is meant to be interviewing for a position on the next movie, a porn movie. Oops! Trying to move on herself from her horrible ex and make better choices in her life, she isn’t looking for anything serious.
But from the get go, Keir and Paisley’s chemistry is off the charts and neither character can ignore the heat. Giving into their desires, a no-strings affair morphs into something so much more than they expected.
I adored Kier, his accent and alpha tendencies and dirty mouth are just some of his traits that helped me fall in love. Throw in the fact that he’s a single parent, just speaks to my heart.
Paisley, is a girl after my own heart! Even though she has had her knock downs, she finds a way that allows her to put herself pack together. Her sweet and adorable attitude help counter balance Keir and make this couple one of my favourite so far this year.
Hard as the perfect mix of fun, drama and intense passion to keep you interested in the characters and storyline. A must read for 2018.
***** 5 Stars
