Women like her are made to destroy men like me.
Given to me to start a war; I was too eager to accept.
I didn’t
know what she’d do to me.
She sees through me in a way no one else ever has.
Her innocence and vulnerability make me weak for her and I hate it.
I know better than to give in to temptation. I should have known that she would change everything.
A ruthless man doesn’t let a soul close to him.
A cold-hearted man doesn’t risk anything for anyone.
A powerful man with a beautiful woman at his mercy … he doesn’t fall for her.

Life Review
Where should I start
with this review. Merciless captivated me when I first read the book’s blurb
and when I started reading its kept me hooked from the first page to the very
last. Undoubtedly one of my favourite books this year.
Carter, our
anti-hero, is the head of his family business. His character is cold-hearted,
ruthless and is one of those characters that you want to hate but can’t. His
demeanor intrigued me when I first met him in Willow Winters book, Possessive.
I wanted to discover his darkest desires, and I can say that they surpassed my
wildest dreams.
When Carter
wants something, nobody will get in his way and he has set his sites on Aria Talvery.
Aria Talvery
has been kidnapped by a rivalry family, who’s intent is to start a war with her
father. Used as a bartering chip, Aria is given to Carter as a means of securing
his power.
Aria should
fear Carter, nut there is something about him that makes her question her
beliefs and presents a version of herself that she has never experienced. The
protection he offers her is the one thing that she has never had. The
attraction between both characters is undeniable and while she does fight it,
there is not stopping Carter.
Is she willing to submit? Will love conquer?
Like I said earlier,
Carter is a character that you want to hate but just can’t. While he is dark
and dangerous, he gives us pieces into of his true character. While he is the
ultimate alpha and game player, he isn’t all bad. I loved that as Carter became
aware of Aria’s past you saw a change in his demeanor. He had patience, to a
certain extent and tried to offer Aria protection.
Aria stole my
heart, I loved who strong she was, especially after experiencing something that
no one should witness. Even though she feels that attraction to Carter she as a
defiance to her that makes this character all that much stronger. I experienced
countless butterfly moments when I experienced fear for her and giddiness when
she shone.
This book is engaging,
exciting and oh so dark. The pacing of the story is perfect, and the storyline
had a nice flow, offering us plenty of angst and thrill. The ending was so unexpected
that it was the perfect way to leave this couple on a cliff-hanger.
I can’t wait to
read the second part to the story, I am sure it will be better than the first.

Willow Winters is so happy to be a USA Today, Wall Street Journal and #1 Contemporary Bestselling Romance Author. She likes her action hot and her bad boys hotter. She certainly doesn’t hold back on either one in her writing!
Willow started writing after having her little girl, Evie, December 2015. All during her pregnancy with Evie she continued to read and she only wanted to read romance. She was reading a book a day — sometimes two.
In January 2016 Willow was staying up late with Evie and just thinking of all these stories. They came to her constantly so she finally sat down and just started writing. She always wanted to do it so she figured, why not? Today Willow cannot be happier for making that decision!
