What happens when a corporate spy clashes with a woman he can’t help but fall for? In Mary Billiter’s witty novel of deception and heat, a red-hot suit and a beautiful academic are linked by a vineyard and the mystery surrounding its origins.
Chloe Dorsey places her belongings in storage, puts Southern California in her rearview mirror, and heads to her sister’s home in Northern California for a fresh start. As one of the newly hired wine educators at the Napa Valley Point Resort and Winery, Chloe’s knowledge of wine is as limited as her income.
Anthony “Tony” Mahoney has one objective—to locate the Mother Vine, the source
of the rare and award-winning wine that can only be found at the Napa Valley
Point Resort and Winery. His talent for stealing secrets is tested when he
makes an unlikely alliance with the one woman who could destroy all his plans.
Can Chloe stop the wine thief, or will she have her heart crushed in the
process?

My Readultery Life Review
Wine Thief by Mary Billiter is a brand-new author to me, so
when I saw the cover for this story I jumped at the chance. As a lover of all
things wine and vineyards, I was so excited to get the opportunity to review
this story.
Having said that, I was a little disappointed with the story.
While I love the descriptive narrative that Mary uses to describe the wine tour
that our characters are on, I just felt over loaded with too much information,
it was distracting from the story and made me feel overwhelmed.
Once I finished this story, I found it difficult remembering
key elements on the story. I couldn’t connect with the characters and felt that
the story was drawn out.
I hate giving negative reviews, but I am struggling to find anything,
other than the wine and vineyard element of the story that I enjoyed. I am open
to trying to read this story again, sometimes I do a re-read in case I feel I connection
that I didn’t release I made in my first read through. If this happens and I can
find a connection with a character or element in the storyline, I will be back
to amend my review.
