Life is a series of events, one leading you to another. The hell I lived through with my drug-addicted parents led me to the Marine Corps. Committing my life to my country was easy. My brothers were my family--all I had and all I needed. I wasn’t looking for her, but I should have known life had other plans.

It led me to her.

From the moment we met, I knew he was different--I just didn’t realize he'd change my life. He was a guy on leave, an acquaintance. Until he was something more, something unforgettable. I never imagined he'd leave ten days later, taking a piece of me with him. Then again, maybe I did know. I just didn't care.

He was worth it.

My Readultery Life Review

Pull You Through is my introduction to Kaylee Ryan, and I absolutely loved this authors style of writing.

Pull You Through is an emotional story about young love and the sacrifices most military couples and families face. Having experienced how serving your country can take a tole on your loved one, I am always interested in reading stories that have the military element running though the story. I am a very proud British Army Brat, I wouldn’t change it.

While the military element does run through this book, it is ultimately a story about a couple just starting a relationship. Slade and Austyn’s story isn’t one off insta-love but one off instant connection. Both realising that while they weren’t looking for love at a young age, they knew that what they could potentially have is worth the risk.

Their relationship is built over time and the importance off getting to know each other due to the short amount of time they have before Slade reports for duty. I loved this couple and their sweet relationship.

I adored Slade! As soon as he saw Austyn he was a goner. Knowing that he was on borrowed time, he never failed in making sure he showed or tole Austyn how he felt. Which I find extremely attractive in leading male characters.

Austyn was such a sweet character, your typical next door best friend. She has her life mapped out for herself, never expecting to meet Slade. Being adaptable, she changes her plans to include this rugged and sweetheart marine. Knowing that they done have much time together, Austyn offers support and love to Slade.

This story is a sweet, at time heart wrenching but bottom line is a good feel romance story. Kaylee does justice to the element of the story that shows just how hard it is to leave your loved ones, but also how hard it is to go on with life while your loved ones are deployed. I found myself reminiscing about those times apart from my Dad, feeling the tears well up.

It’s a beautiful, well written love story that will be appearing on my re-read. If your looking for a sweetheart romance with a touch of sadness but leaves you feeling light hearted, this is the book for you.

**** 4 Stars
