My Readultery Life Review


Amo Jones has been a recent discover off mine in new authors that I have yet to read. Having just read her ‘Elite King’s Series’ I jumped at the chance to read ‘Flip Trick’. While I was expecting the same level off craziness that I experienced in her previous books, I was pleasantly surprised with the low level off craziness in this story.

I thoroughly enjoyed Flip Trick. The writing in this story had a fantastic flow, we had some very well-developed characters and the storyline was moving and certainly brought the entertainment. While I enjoyed this story, I was a book that I had to put down a couple off times just to digest the twist and turns that are thrown our way throughout the story.

Just a word of warning, this story has so many OMG moments that it will leave your shouting at your kindle and wondering with this author is punishing her characters in the way that she does. It heads in one directions and then in a blink off an eye you are turned around and headed in another direction.
The journey that we see our characters go on are relatable and you can feel their emotions flowing from the pages as their desires and frustrations are read. You can’t help but fall in love with our main characters Amethyst and Maddox.

Now Amethyst is my kind of girl. She is a loyal to a fault, fun loving and adventurous girl with an independent strike a mile long. She is such a strong character that I couldn’t help but admire, and when you saw her vulnerable side, you could feel her emotions bursting from the pages and reaching into your heart, leaving a mark in the darkest areas.

Maddox was dark, broody and down right sexy. He lived his life on the edge until he met Amethyst and his world began to chance. A man of honour he is placed in a predicament that requires him to make a decision that will affect his and Amethyst’s life and love for each other. While he certainly has a lot of baggage and drama surrounding him, I at no point in this story did I question his love for Amethyst.

This book will pull at your heart strings and make you question everything about this book, but I can say for a certain that this book will leave you breathless and wanting more from Amo Jones.
