Release Date: July 25th

Synopsis:

All is fair in love and second chances.

Professional tennis star and everybody’s darling, Maren Murphy is going home. Unfortunately, going home is the last thing she wants to do. She doesn’t know what’s worse, being named the executor of her grandfather’s estate, or having to deal with her grandfather’s business partner, Noah Callahan. That devil’s spawn may have broken her young, tender heart, but this time it’s advantage Murphy. If anyone’s calling game, set, and match, it’ll be Maren.

Re-match on.

Noah Callahan is a screw up. Well…he used to be a screw up. Bad boy reputations, however, are not easily shed. He’s been a successful business owner for over a decade. You would think the people in his hometown would’ve forgiven and forgotten already, but alas no. Until his one shot at redemption walks into his office. Maren Murphy is the only woman he ever loved––and the one he purposely drove away.

She’s vowed to hate him for all eternity. He’s vowed to love her forever. Can a second chance be the tiebreaker.

My Readultery Life Review

Tiebreaker by P.Dangelico has me so mixed up, I don’t know if I liked this story or not. I’m all for second chance romance, I think they always have a fantastic storyline attached to the characters and offer readers a huge amount of detail and story.

But with Tiebreaker, there was something about this story that just didn’t sit right with me. I enjoyed the concept of the story and thought Maren, our heroine was a fantastic character. I totally connected with her and her resistance in returning to her hometown and facing her first love.

Our hero, Noah, in my eyes wasn’t so much off a hero but an a-hole. While I understand his reasoning for hurting Maren in the way that he did, his lack off remorse is what I just didn’t agree with. To give him his due, he never stopped loving Maren and did turn his life around for the better and stayed behind the scenes routing for her success.

For me, this is a story that I will leave me thinking about forgiveness. My ability to forgive, my wanting to forgive and accepting my forgiveness. P.Dangelico is a brand new author to me, and if this is the style of her writing, I will look forward to her next story.

I can imagine the backlash that this story may receive due to the nature of the storyline, but for me, if a story makes me question myself as an individual or push my boundaries then the author is being true to reality. Everyday life isn’t black and white, there is a range off colours that we as individual must decide what colours we are willing to except in our lives.

**** 4 Stars

Meet P. Dangelico

Dangelico loves romance in all forms, cuddly creatures (four legged and two), really bloody sexy pulp, the NY Jets (although she’s reconsidering after this season), and to while away the day at the barn (apparently she does her best thinking shoveling horse crap). What she’s not enamored with is referring to herself in the third person and social media so don’t expect her to get on Twitter anytime soon. Oh, and although she was born in Italy, she’s been Jersey Strong since she turned six.
